Reinsamling i Øvre Pasvik

Some students from Artisk Reiseliv and most of the other students from other linje arrived at the second reindeer marking that we were invited to in Øvre Pasvik.

Victoria and I, Queen, were lucky because since we didn’t get to actually be with the reindeers at the last collection, Yngve had gotten us in this time around.

We stayed there for quite a while and it was really nice to be there. At first the reindeer really scared us, well Victoria mostly, but we got to hold them later and see how they were dealt with. 

The lady took us in and helped us hold one of the reindeer by the horns, by the way they dragged the other herders I could see that they were really strong so we had to toughen up. We took some pretty cool pictures of us with the reindeer and we could now say that we had witnessed reindeer marking first-hand.The scariest part though was when they brought new reindeer in and they would just run in and corner everybody, that’s when the lady told us to push our chests out and make us look bigger so that we would intimidate the reindeer!
